I'm genuinely sorry to hear you're going through this tough recovery. It sounds like post-operative diaphragmatic irritation might be at play here. I can relate, after my appendectomy, I dealt with relentless hiccups too. It's such a nuisance, isn't it? Though I'm no medical expert, it seems like persistent issues like yours should be addressed with your surgeon. 😕

It’s frustrating when you expect to recuperate smoothly, only to face unforeseen complications. I wish I could say with certainty that it gets better soon, but, truth be told, it can be unpredictable. Take care!

I completely empathize with your situation :( Rest assured, many find that these issues resolve in due course, as the body has an amazing ability to heal itself! Although hiccuping can be quite a bother, it often diminishes as your body adjusts. Keep your chin up and stay optimistic; brighter days are ahead!

Hey, I get that it feels tough right now! Remember, lots of folks deal with post-surgery hiccups: time heals all wounds... You might wanna check in with your doc, though. It's a bummer now, but things usually get better. Keep hanging in there!

I truly empathize with your current predicament, but I must gently disagree with the notion that these complications are entirely life-altering. As someone who has navigated the turbulent waters of post-operative recovery myself, I understand the frustration of dealing with persistent symptoms like choking and hiccuping. These conditions can indeed be unsettling, often attributed to diaphragmatic spasms or phrenic nerve irritation.

In my personal experience, these issues typically subside as the body's internal equilibrium is gradually restored. Have you considered consulting your healthcare provider to explore symptomatic management?? Recovery can indeed be an unpredictable journey, but with patience, most individuals eventually find relief and regain normalcy!! Please take heart and continue to address these concerns with your medical team for the best outcome.

Honestly, I get that you’re frustrated, but saying it’s ruining your life is a bit extreme. I had similar issues after surgery and it was a pain, sure, but not the end of the world. Diaphragmatic spasms can happen, and "this too shall pass"; those irritating hiccups usually calm down over time with a little patience. Just keep chatting with your doc. Stay positive—things do get better. Don’t dwell too much on the negatives, it’s just a phase! 😅
