Looking for Anonymous Chat Rooms? Try Anonymous Discussions
IIWIARS has no live chat rooms. It offers something slower: you post your story under a pseudonym and people reply with their point of view, at their own pace.
Chat rooms vs. anonymous discussions
Anonymous chat rooms are live: you talk with whoever is connected at that moment. Discussions on IIWIARS are asynchronous: your story stays online and replies arrive over hours or days.
No need to be online at the same time
Write when you're ready, then come back later to read the points of view and answer them. You get a notification when someone replies.
Conversations that stay readable
Every story and its replies stay on a public page, so people in a similar situation can find it later and join in.
When a live conversation is better
If you need to talk to someone right now, a chat or phone helpline is more suitable than a discussion site. See the help resources at the bottom of this page.

What to expect on IIWIARS
Before posting, it helps to know how visible your words are and how the site is moderated.
Public by design
Stories and replies can be read by anyone, including people who are not signed in. Only your pseudonym is shown next to them.
Moderation
Stories are reviewed before they are published. Replies appear right away and are reviewed afterwards; content that breaks the rules can be removed.
Your part in staying anonymous
Leave out names, places, employers, dates and any detail that would let someone recognize you or the people in your story.
Join IIWIARS and start venting anonymously
Reading is open to everyone. Signing in is only needed to post a story or reply.
Sign in with Google, Apple, Facebook, Microsoft or another listed account. IIWIARS does not save your name or email address: it keeps a pseudonym generated from your account identifier, and that pseudonym is what others see.
Post Your Story
Share your story in the category that fits. It is reviewed before being published.
Follow the Replies
Read the points of view on your story, reply to them, and answer other people's stories too.

The risks of anonymous chat rooms
In live anonymous chats you don't know who you are talking to, and messages are rarely moderated in real time. Whatever the platform, avoid sharing personal details and leave any conversation that makes you uncomfortable.
