Anonymous Confession Website: Confess Under a Pseudonym
IIWIARS lets you publish a confession under an automatically generated pseudonym and see how other people react to it: their points of view, their replies and, if you add one, their votes in a poll.
What an anonymous confession on IIWIARS is
A confession here is a story you publish without your name: something you did, something you keep to yourself, or a situation you can't talk about with the people around you. Others read it and tell you how they see it.
Publish under a pseudonym
Your confession appears under a pseudonym generated from the account you sign in with. IIWIARS does not save your name or email address.
Read other confessions
Browse recent stories by topic, from family secrets to situations at work, and leave your point of view.
Get reactions
People reply with their point of view and you can answer them. Add a poll to see how readers would judge the situation.

Before you post a confession
An anonymous confession is only as anonymous as what it says. Here is what IIWIARS does, and what it doesn't.
What stays private
Your name, your email address and the account you signed in with are not shown to readers and are not saved by IIWIARS: readers only see your pseudonym.
What is public
Your confession, your replies and the list of stories published under your pseudonym can be read by anyone, without an account.
What is checked
Confessions are reviewed before they are published. Replies are reviewed after they appear and can be removed if they break the rules.
How to join IIWIARS and start sharing your confessions
Reading confessions is open to everyone. To publish one, you need to sign in so that you can follow the replies afterwards.
Sign in with Google, Apple, Facebook, Microsoft or another listed account. IIWIARS does not save your name or email address: it keeps a pseudonym generated from your account identifier, and that pseudonym is what others see.
Post Your Confession
Choose the category that fits and write your confession. Change names and leave out details that could identify you or the people involved.
Engage Anonymously
Read the points of view on your confession, reply to them, and comment on other people's confessions.
Questions and answers
Is IIWIARS a list of confession websites?
No. IIWIARS is one confession and venting site. If you are comparing several services, our guide to websites like Blahtherapy, linked below, covers other options.
Do I need an account to confess?
You need to sign in to publish, so that you can reply and follow your confession afterwards. Reading confessions doesn't require an account.
Will people know it's me?
Readers only see your pseudonym. The content itself can give you away, so change names and leave out places, employers, dates and other recognizable details.
Is a confession here the same as talking to a professional?
No. Replies come from other people sharing their opinion, not from therapists or counselors. If what you carry is too heavy, see the help resources at the bottom of this page.

The role of confession websites in modern times
On social networks everything is tied to your name. Confession websites give people a place to share their stories, secrets and emotions without that exposure, and to hear how others would react.
“I never thought I’d feel comfortable sharing my secrets, but IIWIARS gave me a safe place to confess without judgment. I feel lighter now.”
“Confessing my guilt anonymously on IIWIARS was the release I needed. The community’s support made all the difference.”
