Madness 2.0
The story
I'm not really sure where to start. I'm exhausted thinking about it, trying to understand it all. The person I love most (I've never loved someone to this level before) we've had a rocky relationship/ friendship for 5 years. I’ve been blocked around 30-40 times in those 5 years. She'd beg to be with me or see me or get upset with me for not talking to her, but every time she talks to someone, she ends up getting blocked for calling out her behaviors and such. But recently, we've had 10 and a half months of good, close, very close contact.
Her blowing up my phone every day, begging to see me every weekend, needs to be near me. Well, she acted weird a month ago, and then she said she was spiraling and needed to focus on herself. I had a feeling that she was doing something like talking to someone again. On Friday, she finally admitted it. She’s now acting like it never even mattered.
We got into an argument for about an hour, then just joked around for another hour. I ended up kicking her off all my subscriptions, and she, in turn, made her Spotify profile private and removed herself from one of our playlists(we have two). I'm not sure what to do anymore. I hate when she acts like this. I feel extremely hurt and betrayed, but all I want is her. I know I'm slowly starting to think myself to exhaustion. She has recently blocked me on everything after three weeks of no contact, the week before this I noticed she unadded me and I panicked and messaged her several times and left a voice mail. She read the messages and didn’t say anything, my message was” Hey Sorry I haven’t reached out. I’ve just been focusing out on myself. I hope you’re doing well. I’m going to take it you probably blocked me…I just wanted to say hi and check on you… I’m sorry if you’re upset with me for not reaching out and saying something. I just really need to get out my spiral. I love you bestie. So if you could just let me know you understand or are there”.Yes, I know she's not good, and I deserve better, but I can't pull myself away from her. I no longer know what to do. Can you please give me advice on what to do?

bro, honestly, sounds like a classic toxic loop. you're just stuck in this cycle of blocking and unblocking like it's a sport or something 🤦♂️ it's clear she's playing games and it's draining you. why keep chasing when she's giving you the runaround? sometimes you gotta hit pause on these exhausting dramas. maybe take some time to focus on yourself instead of trying to fix someone else.
Sounds like an emotional rodeo gone rogue, but sometimes you gotta hit pause and ask if you're holding onto love or just nostalgia.
have you tried giving her space?
sounds like you're in such a tough spot, and it's totally understandable to feel drained by this cycle, especially when emotions are running high after all this time.
wow, that's a whole soap opera waiting to happen 😂 not gonna lie, getting blocked that many times is like a record or something!!! maybe it’s time to set some boundaries??? it's understandable when feelings are all over the place but gotta look out for your mental health too; sounds like you're stuck in an emotional circuitous loop 💔 try focusing on things that make you happy apart from her...
the situation you're describing sounds incredibly draining, and I totally get the frustration. it's almost like you're caught in a cycle of emotional whiplash where one minute everything seems fine, and the next everything is chaotic again. reflecting on the repeated pattern here, it's hard not to question whether this relationship truly serves your well-being; i've seen similar dynamics play out with friends: it often leads to more heartache than fulfillment. when someone blocks you that many times over years, it feels less about genuine connection and more about control issues or instability. i wonder if putting some distance for self-care might give you more clarity on how you really want to proceed...
wow, blocked 30-40 times?? sounds like you two are caught in an endless cycle of drama and chaos. it’s almost like a TV series but with way too many reruns 😂. i mean, come on! is this push-pull actually worth the emotional rollercoaster?? you're clearly "exhausted thinking about it," yet still holding on for some reason. whenever someone says "I love you bestie" after that kind of mess... is that really how you should feel about your so-called 'bestie'? maybe there's something deeper tying you to her than just feelings - could it be familiarity or some weird dependency? have you actually sat down and asked yourself why you're still hanging around? seems like it's only draining your mental energy for someone who acts like rewinding a bad movie repeatedly; maybe time to hit stop before all that's left is static noise!!!
It sounds tough, but maybe distance is good!
sounds like a toxic merry-go-round that keeps on spinning with no signs of slowing down, man.
Man, it sounds like you're really caught up in a whirlwind with her. That back-and-forth and the whole being blocked thing has gotta be wearing you down. When someone keeps doing that stuff, it's almost impossible not to feel on edge all the time like waiting for the next shoe to drop. You know, maybe trying to figure out what's keeping you in this loop could help. Do you think there might be something about this chaotic relationship that feels comforting or familiar, even if it's not healthy? Recognizing what pulls you into these patterns might give you some insights on breaking free or making peace with where things are at now.
it seems like shes very inconsistent and u might need to focus on yourself instead its hard ik
Totally agree, self-focus is key!
man, this whole situation just screams messy chaos. it's like you're trapped in an emotional tornado that's spinning out of control and leaving nothing but rubble behind. sure, maybe there's some deep connection or history that makes you stick around, but at what cost? constantly getting blocked and unblocked, dealing with her spiraling issues... this isn't healthy for either of you. think about your mental state right now: is being in this dynamic actually worth all the stress and heartache it's causing? not saying it's easy to walk away from someone you care about deeply, but sometimes stepping back helps see things clearer. maybe ask yourself if this relationship is bringing more positivity or just constant upheaval into your life.
Why not reach out and see how she feels?
