The story
breaking up after five years.... it was surprisingly amicable???? who would've thought?? not me!!! so here i am, trying to dissect this anomalous situation of remaining friends with someone who you used to share everything with: dreams, aspirations, the whole nine yards. the conversation about vacations??? yeah, you heard that right. we can spend time together without the romantic strings attached! it's nuts!!! it's like our dynamic has morphed into something strangely beautiful yet disorienting???? suddenly i'm questioning why this isn't the norm!!!!! bonding minus the lovey-dovey stuff??? what a revelation!!!!
honestly, this scenario is perplexing!!! there's an inherent dissonance between the accustomed relational framework and our new 'friends post-breakup' context. highlighting an element of cognitive dissonance here!!!! definitely feels surreal! consider that vacation talk again: laying on a beach somewhere scenic with your ex.... but without any tension or feelings of resentment?! cannot compute!!!! maybe we defied evolutionary biology or some script for human interaction???? whatever it is, i'm kind of enjoying it?!?! because HEY!! less drama right??!!!!
