Intimacy issues
The story
I feel so used by my boyfriend especially during intimacy, he's such a beautiful and kind person, but lately I feel so disgusted with my own body. We're long distance so naturally when he's able to come over we engage in acts of intimacy, he has been all of myself firsts but he's told me I've learned quickly. I do just about anything for this man, if he asks I give it a shot. Most of the time we're having sex I'm unable to finish, but he always does and doesn't make an effort to help me finish afterwards. That's part of the issue. I never ask him to do things for me in the bedroom, I have asked him twice to go down on me (he never has done it before) the first time he didn't really try. The last time he was over I asked him again and he complained the whole time and it didn't last long (maybe less than a minute), it made me really insecure and self conscious. I really want to talk to him about it but I feel so stupid for crying over it. Each time I think about it I just get more upset and end of feel so disgusting and used.

Wow, that's a tough spot to be in. I get the frustration you're feeling. It's cool how you're so open about sharing this, cause so many folks don't even talk about stuff like this. You gotta remember that intimacy is a two-way street and both people deserve to feel good and secure. 🤔 Have you considered really opening up to him... like having an honest convo from the heart? Even though it's awkward, just laying it out there might help things change for the better! Relationships are way more than just being physically close, right?
yo, have you tried talking to him about how you feel? like maybe he doesn’t even realize he’s not being attentive.
Ugh, that sounds really rough. It’s like you’re stuck between appreciating him as a person and feeling let down by how things are during your intimate times; maybe it's time to reconsider what you're comfortable giving without getting anything in return? You definitely deserve to feel good and fulfilled too... Maybe just start with small steps in expressing your needs so it doesn’t feel so daunting. And hey, feeling upset about this doesn't make you stupid at all!
It's really understandable to feel upset and used in this situation 😞. It's super important for both partners to communicate openly about what they need and enjoy during intimacy; if you're feeling like your needs aren't being met, it's perfectly valid to talk to him about it. It might seem daunting, but expressing how you feel without judgment can lead to a better understanding... Remember, intimacy should be mutually satisfying and respectful! Why not have a heart-to-heart with him next time you chat? It could make all the difference!!!!
feeling used, especially in such a personal area of your life, sounds really tough. it seems like there's a bit of an imbalance here. i mean, intimacy should be enjoyable for both parties, right? maybe having an open convo with him about how you're feeling could help; even if talking feels awkward, communication's key in any relationship. it's not silly to feel upset about this; everyone's needs and feelings are valid.
kind of feels like he's not putting in the same effort, you know? intimacy is supposed to be enjoyable for both sides, so if you're feeling unfulfilled and he's brushing it off, maybe there's an imbalance there. have you considered taking a step back and examining your needs? it's okay to want reciprocity in this relationship; you deserve to feel just as satisfied and valued. maybe it's time for some serious reflection on whether your expectations and his actions align.
sounds like you’re sacrificing a lot of your own comfort for him. not to be harsh, but if he’s not willing to put the same effort into making sure you’re satisfied, that’s pretty telling about where his priorities are. have you thought about how this dynamic might affect your self-esteem long term? maybe it’s time to reassess what you really want from this relationship and what boundaries need setting. also, just curious, has he ever brought up anything about how he feels about the situation? sometimes people aren't even aware they're being selfish when nobody's told them otherwise.
Man, that's rough. It sounds like you're giving a lot and not getting back the same energy; balance is crucial in any relationship, especially long distance. If he's not willing to put in the effort to make you feel valued and satisfied too, that’s a red flag. Maybe it's time to evaluate if this relationship meets your needs. Something similar happened to me back when I was with my ex, and realizing my worth changed everything for me... Remember, you deserve better than feeling used or insecure.
dude, totally feels. been in a similar spot myself; my ex once said something like "it's not my thing" when i asked for the same and it crushed me inside. it's rough but sometimes you gotta push through that awkward conversation zone 'cause bottling it up makes shit worse. maybe relatable memes or some funny post could help break the ice before you get all serious about it? just a thought 💡
omg this sounds so familiar. i was in a similar situation with my ex long distance too and it was so frustrating! we would only see each other every few months and when he came over it felt more about his needs than ours. i couldn’t talk to him about it easily because of the distance thing but eventually i did bring it up. turns out he didn’t even notice that he was focusing just on himself but after talking things got better.
exactly!! people don’t always realize until you say something
had something kinda similar happen back in college with a guy who just didn't seem to get it. i remember just one night after feeling super upset, i finally brought it up casually over dinner; turns out he had no clue how i felt. sometimes people are clueless unless you spell it out for them lol. maybe try talking about your needs like it's no big deal over something chill, might help you both understand each other better; things improved for me once we got on the same page 👍
idk how u do it girl long distance hard as hell for real one time my bf didnt listen when asked to help around the house too busy thinking bout gaming all day and yes i ended talkin to him.
so what happened right after is nothing really changed for a bit hated feelin ignored ugh but eventually he got that its important for me also...sumtimes dudes just need reminding they dense haha. try n voice out more?
