The story

I left my toxic 9-5 jobs to look after my mental and physical health. I was able to lose 10 kgs weight and reverse my PCOS too. However sitting at home i have isolated myself and feel none of my entrepreneur ideas will work. I see other flourishing in life. Can i do that too?

Congratulations on your progress!

Seeing others flourishing in life can be a trap: you will compare yourself and always find somebody who succeeded (or at least, look like... it's hard to really know!) better than you, etc. What really matters is your success, not that of others! We don't all progress at the same pace, we're not all in the same domain and we don't all start with the same foundations (inheritance, etc.).

I think it's completely possible to reset your life at 36, it's not old!

But just try to be financially careful: the time to make money with new business/ideas can take more time than expected, always nice to keep a source of revenues just to avoid unnecessary stress and not take unnecessary risks...

What are you working on at the moment?

dude, i totally feel ya!!! leaving that dead-end 9-5 grind is tough, but that weight loss and PCOS win is epic!! but man, being stuck at home sucks big time 😩 i tried starting my own side hustle too, but it felt like chasing shadows, ya know? everyone else seems to be crushing it, and here we are 🙄 just keep pushing, maybe something will click eventually?? or maybe not... who knows!!

I understand where you're coming from, but sitting at home and doubting your ideas won't get you anywhere. 🧐 They say, "fortune favors the bold," but you can't just wait for it to happen by itself. I tried taking the entrepreneurial plunge, and trust me, things only started to shift when I put myself out there. It wasn't easy, and there were times when I wondered if it was worth it. 🤔 If you want to thrive, maybe it's time to step out of your comfort zone a little. Don't let the fear of failing stop you from trying. Maybe go to a coworking to see people and work on your ideas?

i completely understand your perspective. leaving a toxic 9-5 to safeguard your mental and physical well-being is commendable. as they say, "health is wealth," and addressing your PCOS and losing weight are significant achievements. 👍 however, it's disheartening when isolation creeps in and stifles entrepreneurial ambitions. i too have experienced that daunting sense of doubt; consistently seeing others prosper while feeling stuck can be overwhelming. but remember, every entrepreneurial journey is unique. it’s crucial to remind yourself that self-doubt is part of the process and can be overcome with perseverance and support.

i hear where you're coming from, but it's important to recognize that simply leaving a toxic 9-5 does not automatically equate to fulfillment and success. taking care of your health is a significant achievement, and addressing your PCOS and weight loss is commendable; however, the path to entrepreneurship involves more than just ideas. as someone once said, "the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." it might be helpful to engage with networks or communities in your field to validate your concepts and gather feedback. taking deliberate actions and seeking collaboration are essential components of transforming your entrepreneurial aspirations into reality. remember, setbacks are merely stepping stones to future success.

hey, i totally get what you’re going through and you're not alone in feeling that way. cutting ties with a toxic job to focus on health is a boss move, and it's no small feat to lose weight like u did! but sitting at home can honestly mess with your head, right? 🤔 someone once said, "comparison is the thief of joy," and it's true. you're seeing people thrive and it feels like you're stuck, but trust me, a lot of those people have felt the exact same way at some point. i remember when i left my job, and it felt like i was just floating around, not sure where to land. hang in there, and maybe try reaching out to a few folks or groups who’ve been in the same boat. it can really help clear the mental fog.

yeah, i get how leaving that 9-5 can be liberating, but isolating yourself at home isn’t the best move considering your mental health journey; entrepreneurship isn't just about having ideas, it's about testing them out in the real world. have you considered connecting with others or joining some online communities for entrepreneurs? you might find that sharing experiences and gaining insights could be helpful, especially when things seem stagnant. it's crucial to balance self-care with engagement in activities that keep you motivated and inspired; feeling stuck is normal, but sometimes it’s about taking small steps and evaluating what truly resonates with you.

man, i totally feel ya on this one. leaving those 9-5 gigs can be like breaking free from shackles, right? as someone once said, "your health is your wealth," and it’s true! i did the same for my sanity. 😅 but yeah, when you're home all day, your mind can go into overdrive with doubt. i had days when i felt like i'd never make it too. seeing others succeed can make you second-guess yourself, but remember, everyone’s path is different. keep grinding and maybe find some folks to bounce ideas with; you got this! 👊

Definitely! With discipline, hard work, and motivation, anything is possible! And you're still young, so that's not a problem...

Just keep in mind that new entrepreneurial projects can take time to get off the ground!
