hugs thinking of you today
The story
I just got a message out of the blue from someone I haven’t talked to in years. This person sent me a simple note saying, "hugs, thinking of you today." I was honestly taken aback. I mean, after all this time, what could possibly prompt that? There hasn’t been any hint of communication or reason for them to reach out after all these years.
At first, I felt a mix of surprise and confusion. It's strange to hear from someone like this, especially when there’s been silence for so long. I can’t help but wonder if something happened that I’m not aware of or if they just happened to think of me. Maybe it’s just nostalgia kicking in, making them reach out without really thinking it through.
It makes me reflect on how relationships can shift and change over time. Sometimes, paths cross again when you least expect it, while other times they drift apart. I find myself stuck in this loop of wondering about the reasons behind their message. Is there something more to it, or is it just a random act of kindness?
Even though I don't have any answers right now, I can’t shake the feeling of hope that maybe we could reconnect. Who knows what could happen if we start talking again? For now, I guess I'll just sit with this little mystery and see if anything else comes from it.
