adhd coping mechanisms

The story

sometimes i feel like my brain is a browser with way too many tabs open. you know what i'm talking about? some days are chill, i'm on top of things and bam, no issues at all. then there are those days when i can't keep track of anything, and it feels like my mind’s in a pinball machine bouncing all over the place. it's super annoying and makes me want to just give up completely.

like earlier this week, i figured it was time for some deep self-reflection or whatever. sat down and actually took a sec to think about why this sh*t keeps happening. turns out, maybe i've got adhd or something (i could be wrong though). but seriously, finding the right coping mechanisms is now like finding a needle in a haystack! google's no help because half the advice sounds so generic and the other half is sponsored crap made by companies trying to sell me their 'exclusive' solution.

i tried some of that mindfulness stuff too (spoiler: didn’t work) and even keeping notes using fancy apps with alarms... none of it sticks! heck, things are getting so wild that posting about it online felt necessary. thought i'd get some suggestions from y’all...hopefully ones that don't include yoga 'cause nah fam i'm not doing that lol 😂 anyway, if anyone has legit ideas or stories of what worked for them without making you wanna throw your phone across the room, hit me up!

yeah, but the whole “simple strategies” thing is way easier said than done! trust me, if i could just flick a switch and chill out my brain i would’ve done it ages ago. feels like there's this constant buzzing in my head and finding simple solutions is anything but simple!
