hate my life

The story

I recently moved to a new city for this job, right? And it's supposed to be a big step in my life or whatever, but honestly, I'm starting to hate it. Like, I thought I was ready to start fresh and all that jazz, you know? But the reality hits differently when you're actually in the middle of it. It's kinda like being an alien on another planet. Everyone seems to be doing their own thing and fitting in seamlessly while I'm just...here.

The loneliness sometimes feels like it's physically weighing me down! 😞 Every day at work seems like a constant reminder that I don't really belong yet...like I'm some sort of outsider trying too hard to blend in. And no matter how much I try, every interaction just makes me miss my old life even more. My colleagues are nice enough but there's this pressure, you know? To fit into their little social circles or whatever they call them these days.

I sometimes find myself thinking about why I even made this choice? Why did I think moving away from everything familiar would be a good idea??? Was it worth leaving behind friends who actually get me and family who’s always been there? It's not that simple adjusting when everything feels so damn foreign!!

The nights here are the worst part (seriously). How can silence be so LOUD?? If you've ever lived alone, maybe you'd know what I mean! Walking back home with nothing but your thoughts swirling around isn't exactly comforting...it's more like torture if anything.

Anyway...sorry for rambling on 😂 but had to get it out there real quick before losing my mind completely!! Anyone else felt like this or am I just overthinking stuff again?? 😅

I've been through something similar when I moved last year for a job opportunity too. At first, everything seemed exciting and new but slowly reality started creeping in. Adapting takes time and patience is key here although it's often easier said than done. You've uprooted your life completely which is no small feat so cut yourself some slack as you adjust.
