Face tingling anxiety
The story
sitting in this big meeting and, out of nowhere, my face starts tingling. it's that awkward situation where you feel like everyone is staring at you and can tell something's not right. well, i'm trying to focus on the presentation while my mind is racing. i keep thinking: what if they notice? will they think i'm unprofessional or not paying attention? anxiety just hit me like a wave. feel like i'm stuck in a loop overthinking everything.
so, there we are discussing our quarterly projections and all the strategic goals we need to achieve by next year, but my mind is busy dealing with this unease. tried taking deep breaths and calming myself... but nothing seems to work in that moment. it's hard to act calm when your face acts up out of nowhere. weird feeling, right? not sure if any of you experienced this before but it got me quite anxious.
as the meeting went on, i began internally assessing what might be causing this physical reaction... coffee intake, stress levels perhaps or maybe even just being tired out from too much work lately (i guess that's common for most of us). still managed to hold it together somehow without interrupting the flow of discussion. hopeful though: these things come and go... maybe it'll pass soon enough.
