The story

I really find it weird that my financial situation should be an issue or where I stay or whatever... People should stop making such a big deal out of it unless they wanna settle down with me or some sht. Why would do that to someone you don't even have any interest with? Fcking ars. They should just mind their own business unless they wanna settle down with me all the background checks is useless!!! Wtf

I completely empathize with your sentiments regarding the undue attention paid to your financial status and living arrangements!!!! It's perplexing how some individuals believe they have the prerogative to scrutinize such personal aspects of one's life without a legitimate reason or a genuine relational interest. Similar to you, I too have found myself bewildered by the unnecessary investigations people undertake concerning aspects that should remain private unless, as you mentioned, there is a vested interest in establishing a deeper, more meaningful connection..

Look, I get that you're frustrated, but honestly, people are gonna talk no matter what, ya know? 🤷‍♂️ It's kinda naive to think everyone should mind their own business all the time, especially when it comes to money and where you live. That stuff is like juicy gossip for some folks, even if it sucks. I'm not saying it's right, but it's how the world works.

If you're making a big deal about it, maybe you're giving them a reason to dig deeper? Ever thought about that? Just saying, maybe brush it off and move on. Getting all worked up isn't gonna change people's nosiness. Why waste time worrying if they aren't even part of your life, right?

It's not a big deal if they don't make it a big deal

It seems a bit unrealistic to expect people not to comment on your situation when it's visible or known, as financial status and living conditions are often topics that spur curiosity among others; perhaps if you present yourself confidently regardless of these factors, it might help shift the focus away from them.

It’s truly bewildering how some folks become so engrossed in others' financial standings or where they reside. It's as if your personal circumstances become an open invitation for unsolicited opinions. I remember once when a colleague got overly curious about my lifestyle choices because I wasn’t living up to their expectations of what someone in our profession "should" achieve. 🤦🏻‍♂️ It might help to consider this behavior as a reflection of their insecurities rather than a commentary on your life choices. Maybe they're trying to validate their own decisions by comparing them to yours, who knows? Just keep focusing on what feels right for you and let the rest take care of itself.
