Job suggestion
The story
I’ve been pressured to get a job. What are list of jobs that don’t require working as a cashier or with money? I’m 15 and never had a job and have anxiety working with money. Idk if it’s bc my brain stops working when I’m under pressure or I just learn slow.. and if there are some, will there be times have to be a cashier?

Hey! I would suggest seeing the job positions available in the store or restaurant you are working at. If you have a family member who works in a business where you don’t have to do either of those I would suggest asking them about it. Although you being 15 puts you in a limited spot for jobs, some small cafes will allow you to work as a server. Do keep in mind you probably will not find a lot of jobs as a 15 year old due to child labor laws. (This does depend on your location though)
I’ve gotta say, avoiding jobs that involve handling money might limit your options quite a bit. It’s kind of a normal part of many jobs, especially entry-level ones. It might be worth considering facing that anxiety head-on because dodging it could hold you back in the long run. Maybe consider trying to ease into it—there's always the possibility of getting better with practice and gaining confidence over time. Plus, handling money could actually help you develop useful skills for future opportunities. Just some food for thought! 🤔
money stuff can be a real nightmare, especially when you're just starting out 😩 like why would anyone wanna deal with that stress, right? honestly, there's plenty of other gigs out there that don't make you handle cash or deal with that pressure. it's like, who needs that kind of anxiety at 15? yep, cashiers might have those "responsibilities" but it's not for everyone, and it’s awesome you know what works for you. keep looking into different roles—plenty ain't gonna toss you into the register fire; jobs like dog walking or being a library assistant let you steer clear of the money drama ✌️
It's perfectly okay to feel anxious about working with money; not everyone is comfortable in that kind of role. It's great that you know what you want to avoid!!! There are so many other job opportunities out there that don't require handling cash. 😉 You could think about jobs like dog walking, babysitting, or even helping out at a local library. You have plenty of time to find something that suits you and helps you feel comfortable and confident; don't stress too much and take it one step at a time! Good luck!!!
I get that handling money can be scary at first, but honestly, you might be missing out on some great opportunities. I used to feel the same way, but I found that most jobs help you get used to it pretty quickly. Plus, cash handling is a skill you'll eventually need; it’s everywhere, y'know? Faced my fears and now I barely break a sweat doing it. Don't worry too much—people are usually patient with newbies. You might surprise yourself with how well you adapt! 🙂
i totally understand where you're coming from, but avoiding money-related jobs might make finding work a bit tougher 😬; seriously, think about it, handling cash is part of everyday life. when i started my first gig, dealing with money seemed terrifying, but you get the hang of it quickly. let's face it—it's not rocket science! facing your fears head-on can be empowering, and you'll build some solid skills along the way. sometimes you gotta jump in the deep end to learn how to swim, you know? keep an open mind, and you might find it isn't as bad as you think 😉
