Conflicted About New Friendship and Inconsistent Responses
The story
Hii I’m new here and I’ve been conflicted the last couple of days.
I recently gained an online friend and we were pretty cool at the start. We are basically the same person with similar interests and aspirations, but we also mentioned how inconsistent we are when it came to friends.
We would start a chatting and then out of nowhere he’ll stop replying to me mid conversation. I don’t want to message him and act clingy or overbearing because we just became friends so it’ll be kinda weird yk? Idk if I’m overthinking it or maybe we shouldn’t be friends. I’ve always been so anxious in friendships-which is why I suck having friends- idk what to do.

Because I feel like I would be weird or just overthinking things. We just became friends and idk it just seems like I’m in his business and I don’t want to make it awkward or weird 💔
i get that, but sometimes it helps to be direct. maybe he's just busy or not great with replies? asking could clear things up without making it weird! ;-)

Honestly, you might be giving this way too much thought. It sounds like you’re just working yourself up for nothing??? People have lives and other stuff going on; sometimes they drop off the map a bit; Doesn't necessarily mean anything's wrong. You're probably more concerned with looking clingy than it's worth worrying about!!! You could always just focus on your own interests too, and let things develop naturally without stressing so hard. Relax a little, it'll all work out in the end 😉
