I don't know what to think anymore.
The story
Lately it seems like I don't have friends at all anymore. They're still there, but they don't respond very much. We're gamers, and every time I message any of them to set up a game session, it's a no or no response at all or it's something to do with the games I play being shitty games. But they play those same games an hour later or a few days with others. I just don't know what to think anymore. It's like I don't matter or exist anymore. When I explain how I feel to a few of them, it's usually something with "life's just too busy" which I understand, but for a year straight? A few months straight? When you're playing the same game/s with others? And streaming it as well??? Just say you don't want to be my friend and quit playing around. Or better yet, just block me.

Man, that sounds rough... it sucks feeling like you're on the outside looking in. It's super frustrating when people say they're too busy but then find time to game with others; feels like mixed signals, right? You deserve friends who appreciate you and make time for you instead of making excuses. Maybe it's time to find a new group to chill with or try out some new games where you'll meet people who are genuinely excited to hang out with you! Remember, there are loads of people out there who would love to play and chat with someone like you!!!
i totally get you. this happened to me too, friends just vanished and wouldn't reply much. turns out they found a new crew to game with and i was old news :(
Wow, that's a tough spot to be in. 😞 It really does feel like your friends are sending confusing signals. It's hard not to take it personally when they make excuses but then play with others. I get being busy, but if it's been happening over such an extended period, you might want to reconsider your place in this group. Have you thought about directly asking them? Sometimes people don’t realize how their actions come across unless it's laid out clearly. But yeah, if nothing changes, finding a new circle of gamers who value and have time for you now could be the healthier path forward!
sounds like your friends just moved on man. maybe time to find some new gaming buddies or hobbies? people change all the time, and sometimes it sucks but we gotta move forward.
Yeah, moving on is hard but necessary sometimes.
I feel you on this one. It's like when my buddy used to ditch me all the time for another group and say he's "busy" while I saw him online playing the same game. 😡 Like, are we even friends or just placeholders??? I wonder why do they bother being vague instead of being upfront?
dang, that's a really shitty feeling to deal with. it must be super confusing and hurtful when they claim they're busy but still find time for others. i think sometimes people just don't realize how their actions come across or they're not good at communicating honestly... it's frustrating that they can't just be upfront. have you thought about joining some online gaming communities where you can meet new people who are actually interested in making friends? branching out might help bring some fresh energy and better vibes into your gaming sessions! 🕹️
It might not be personal, just circumstances.
Dude, I feel you. The way they act is honestly just annoying as hell. 😤 It's like they're saying one thing and doing another, which leaves you feeling completely sidelined. Maybe they think their vague excuses are enough, but it's hella disrespectful when actions don't match words; MIA all the time after you've been there? So here's an idea: go out there and find new people who actually respect your time and wanna play with you. Trust me, you'll find gamers who won't play these dumb games with your emotions... there's nothing worse than getting strung along by people who can't be straight!
sounds like you're getting ghosted, but maybe not intentionally. i had something similar happen with my old crew; they just kinda drifted off without saying anything definite. it's possible they're caught up in their own stuff, or maybe they've found new peeps to vibe with; still stings though. here's a thought: if you ain't feeling any love back from them, don't waste your time trying to force it. sometimes it's best to step back and see who actually makes the effort to stay connected;
i kinda think maybe you're assuming too much? like maybe they're really busy and not trying to ghost you on purpose.
dude, that really sucks. what is it with people and their mixed signals??? honestly, if they've been ghosting you for that long while still playing the same games with others, it's time to reevaluate who you're spending your energy on. maybe they just don't know how to say they're not interested anymore; sometimes they need a wake-up call but why should you wait around until then? it's like when my old friend stopped answering my texts but would post pics hanging out with other groups. made me realize i needed friends who actually gave a crap about keeping relationships alive!!! 💥
It's definitely a frustrating situation when your friends seem to be avoiding you, and it makes one wonder if the concept of "friendship" is just a transactional exchange nowadays where once the utility is deemed obsolete, the connection fades.
yeh s*cks when frnds do that buut could b busy rly
Yikes, that's rough. Seriously, it kinda makes you question if you're just the backup plan or something. Like, are they just stringing you along till someone better comes along? That uncertainty can really mess with your head. Maybe it's time to lay it all out and ask them directly what's up. If they're still shady about it, maybe cutting ties is the way to go for your own peace of mind.
I totally get where you're coming from. That situation just sucks, plain and simple. Sometimes it's like your friends live in a different reality and don't see how their actions affect you. It's possible they're not intentionally leaving you out, but when patterns repeat, it's hard to ignore them. I've had situations where I felt sidelined too; the best move for me was focusing on other connections and hobbies that boosted my mood instead of dwelling on it; kinda like giving your energy to people who truly appreciate it.
maybe they're dealing with stuff in their lives that they're not sharing. doesn't always mean they don't care about you tho.
I agree, life happens!
I understand how tough it feels, especially when you're being left out in something you enjoy so much; honestly, sometimes friendships change without us really noticing. I went through something similar and realized maybe they just weren't the right fit anymore, even if we shared some good times in the past. It might be worth reaching out one last time to see if there's anything unsaid causing this rift, but also consider exploring new gaming groups or communities where you'll feel valued and appreciated. There's always a chance to find people who genuinely want your company and will make an effort to keep you involved.
omg same tihng happend 2 me my 'friends' said tehy were busy then i saw them online wihout me hate that so much!!!
It sounds like you're navigating a tough social situation, and it can feel really disheartening when friends are so vague. Sometimes, people honestly don't realize how their lack of communication impacts others; still, if they're consistently not responding or excusing their absence with "busy," while clearly having the time for gaming with others, it's frustrating. Maybe try asking if there's something specific that's changed or that they wish was different in your interactions? It could open up a more direct conversation, though I understand that might be easier said than done. Whatever happens, remember there are plenty of communities out there where you'll be valued for exactly who you are.
Friendships can be tricky sometimes! I once had a group where everyone seemed to drift away without saying anything. It felt isolating but joining a new online community helped me find people who actually wanted to engage actively. Hang in there!
