Adhd decision paralysis
The story
Okay, gotta let this out somewhere. So I'm stuck in this loop of indecision with a huge life choice: got a new job offer that sounds tempting, not gonna lie. But it means moving to a completely different city and leaving all my current comfort behind. On the other side, staying put has its perks too but damn if it ain't boring sometimes 🤔
The options are laid out like an overly complicated buffet. We've got pros for both staying and leaving (you know, better pay on one side, friends and familiarity on the other) but also cons that make me question everything twice over. My head's practically spinning from weighing each choice like every single day is the final countdown.
I try listing everything out to get some clarity, writing junk down like it's gonna magically make sense when I see it on paper. Spoiler alert: it doesn't! And then there's the fear...ugh...the dread of making a 'wrong' decision and ruining whatever potential happiness I might have had in whichever place I pick; am I overthinking? Probably!
Friends say shit like "just go with your gut" or "do what's best for YOU," and I'm like sure mate, easier said than done 😂 It's not as simple when your brain's playing devil's advocate for every scenario you can think up. Every thought branches into three more and suddenly I'm no closer to making up my mind.
At this point, flipping a coin sounds almost sane 😅 but nah! Gotta eventually adult my way through this chaos somehow. Anyway, just wanted to get this off my chest because holding it in feels like carrying a boulder uphill... Feel free to drop some advice or share if you've been down this road cuz I'd love to hear it!

I was in a similar position last year and decided to move cities. Best decision ever made me grow so much!
That’s encouraging! Did moving far away scare you at first?
