The story

hey everyone. i just need to get something off my chest... every time i'm faced with anxiety-inducing situations, like public speaking or being in a crowded place, i start feeling these sudden chills and cold sweats. it's like clockwork! 😅 my hands go ice-cold, and sometimes i even shiver when everyone else seems comfortable. this has been happening more often lately and it's starting to make me hesitant about stepping out for social gatherings.. kinda sucks, right?

it feels weird, but is this normal for anxiety? from what i've read, it's all connected to our fight-or-flight response. apparently, when we get anxious or stressed, our bodies redirect blood flow away from the skin to support vital organs... hence the chills and sweating! knowing that does help a bit.

but man... it sure feels uncomfortable! especially during public speaking events when i'm trying not to let anyone notice i'm practically freezing up there. have you ever tried to hide the fact that you're shivering on stage while talking? not easy!!! 😩

i guess what keeps me going is remembering how others also manage these hurdles - like someone said: "no pressure no diamonds." it’s hopeful realizing we're learning more about managing these reactions every day!

i really hope with some practice and maybe talking it out with friends (or even professionals), things can improve over time. anyone else dealing with this or got tips?
