Can anxiety tingling last for days?
The story
Hey there everyone! 😊 I just wanted to share something that's been bugging me lately, and perhaps get some insight if anyone else has gone through this. So, for the past few days, I've been experiencing this persistent tingling sensation in my hands and feet. It's not painful or anything, but it's like that feeling you get when your foot falls asleep and it takes forever to wake up again. You know what I mean? At first, I brushed it off as nothing too serious - maybe just a side effect of spending too much time typing on my computer or something along those lines. But now that it's been several days without any sign of improvement, I'm starting to wonder... Is this connected to my anxiety??? 😬
I've dealt with anxiety for quite a while now (it's kind of like an old frenemy at this point), and I've experienced different symptoms before: racing heart, sweaty palms, occasional nausea. But this tingling thing is new! I can't help but worry if there's something more sinister lurking beneath the surface or if it's just another manifestation of stress that will eventually pass. The human body can be so mysterious sometimes! Like how does one even begin to figure out what’s happening inside? I'm trying to stay positive though - hoping that someone out there might have experienced something similar and could offer a reassuring word.
I remember reading somewhere about peripheral neuropathy being linked to anxiety; although I'm no medical expert by any means! It's like every time I read up on things online (thank you Dr. Google!), it only adds fuel to the fire with worst-case scenarios running wild in my head!!! 😅 Oh well... I'd really appreciate hearing other people's experiences or thoughts on whether prolonged periods of tingling could potentially be related directly back into anxiousness rather than anything physically wrong medically speaking? Thank you guys so much for listening ❤️
