I hate myself so much it hurts
The story
i hate myself so much it hurts. every small mistake feels like a mountain i can't climb over, no matter how minor it is. the other day, i spilled my coffee and could hear this voice inside screaming at me about how careless i am. it's ridiculous because everyone spills coffee sometimes, right? but when i do, it's like the end of the world in my head.
missing a work deadline was another blow to my self-esteem. instead of realizing that sometimes as humans we're bound to miss a mark (we're not machines after all), my brain insists on labeling me an absolute failure. it's as if there's no room for errors and imperfections are a sign of complete incompetence.
it's this constant loop of negative self-talk that gets exhausting. you would think simple daily mishaps wouldn't stick with you, but they do for me. honestly, how can one forgive themselves for the tiniest faults when their own mind is their harshest critic? 😔
