The story
So I got the weirdest package at my apartment today. No sender info, just this plain brown box sitting on my doorstep with my name on it. I have to admit, it really piqued my curiosity. It’s been months since I broke up with my ex, and we haven’t talked at all, not even a text. I definitely wasn’t expecting anything weird or dramatic... but here we are.
When I opened it, I felt like I got hit by a truck. Inside was a bunch of freaky personal stuff that screams someone’s been keeping tabs on me. Even if it’s subtle, it’s just plain creepy. The first thing I pulled out was this shirt I used to wear all the time at my old place. It’s the one she always borrowed during our Netflix binges. Talk about sentimental, right? But that’s just the beginning of this craziness.
Next, I found an old mixtape. Like, who even uses tapes anymore? It had songs on it that she absolutely hated but knew I loved. And then there was this mug with a tacky inside joke from ages ago printed on it. Whoever sent this knows way too much about my life right now, or at least they’re pretending to.
Then, I found a flyer for this frisbee club I joined last month, tucked under everything else. Seriously, only someone who’s been stalking me would have access to that kind of info, besides close friends or family who wouldn’t pull this kind of stunt. So there’s hardly any doubt left about who’s behind this weirdness. It feels like a metaphorical jester hat is being worn by whoever’s doing this.
But wait, it gets weirder. I also found this ridiculous greeting card with a bad pun connecting two fandoms that literally no one likes, not even goldfish. It’s a meme that’s just as cringy as it sounds. I was just left shaking my head, wondering who sent this and why. The whole thing feels like some twisted game.
Now I’m left pondering what the heck this gift was supposed to mean. Is it some sort of revenge? A trophy in this bizarre tale? I just feel like I’m stuck in a whodunit mystery halfway across my bathroom. I can’t help but think this is some kind of surreal puzzle unfolding.
My mind is totally frazzled right now. I can’t help but think about how this person is watching me, and it’s driving me a bit nuts. I just want to move on, but now I feel like I’m dealing with this creepy specter from my past. Maybe I’m overthinking it, but I can’t shake this eerie feeling creeping in. What do you even do when you have a faceless ghost from a past relationship bombarding you with reminders? It’s just so unsettling.
