I Struggle with Severe Knee Pain While Waiting for Physio
The story
my knee if getting worse I'm now finding it hard to walk and put weight through it.
I'm still waiting on physio but I'm not see6them till February next year and any physio I have done has seemed to make the pain in my knee worse or the exosises I've been doing doesn't work or I can't do .
even walk has become harder as when I wal I'm in so much pain and no matter what pain killers I take they don't help and when people see me they say well you don't seem to be in pain or you seen to be walking fine so what is wrong.

oh man, that sounds brutal. it's wild how people think they can just look at you and know everything about your pain level. been there myself a few times, where you're just trying to get through the day and everyone assumes you're exaggerating or something; like, maybe some days are better than others but it doesn't mean you're not dealing with a lot. finding the right physio exercises can be such a guessing game, too. sometimes they work wonders and other times it's like they're doing more harm than good. hang in there and hopefully you get some relief soon!
dang, waiting for something like physio till February can be a real patience killer. when you're dealing with daily pain and people around you don’t get it, it's super frustrating. years ago, i had to jump through hoops with crutches and folks would still throw judgmental looks if i stumbled; faking or not, they don't know squat about living in your body 24/7. hope you catch a break way sooner than the system plans!
dealing with persistent knee pain sounds like an absolute drag, especially when it feels like you're playing the waiting game for treatment. i can imagine how irritating it must be when your efforts to alleviate the problem end up making things worse, and people around you just don't get the struggle you're going through; it's like they assume pain has a visual cue or something. maybe trying out different ways to cope in the meantime, like gentle stretching or low-impact activities, could be worth exploring 'til you can see a specialist, though i'm sure you've already gone down that route too. fingers crossed something helps sooner rather than later!
it's seriously frustrating when you're stuck playing the waiting game for help and the ones around you act like they're experts just because they can't see your struggle; i had a similar issue with my back a while ago and it took forever to find something that actually helped instead of making everything worse, so maybe push for more immediate advice or second opinions if you can, since sometimes those initial prescribed routines just aren't the right
It must be really tough dealing with that knee pain 😢
sounds like an absolute nightmare dealing with all that, especially when folks around you don't get how real the pain is.
Man, that sounds rough. It's crazy how the waiting game just adds insult to injury when you're already dealing with constant pain. It's like everyone becomes an expert just because they see you walking a few steps without crumbling; they don't get that not every moment is visible or obvious. And those exercises can be a real mixed bag... sometimes doing nothing feels better than trying something new and ending up worse off. Hopefully, there's some way to ease the pain before February rolls around!
i wonder if theres something else causing ur knee issues. it could be more than just needing physio maybe? idk but it kinda sounds like its more serious.
Have you tried ice? Seems stupid to say, I know…
i feel bad for you having to deal with that much pain, thats rough. maybe try asking your doc about different meds? sometimes they forget other options exist.
I understand that you're frustrated, but sometimes people don't always recognize pain from an outside perspective. Maybe talk to your doctor about alternative options available.
sounds rough, especially when it feels like endless waiting just to end up in more pain.
