The story

i thought i was done with crushes, but here i am, completely head over heels for someone i barely know. It's like my brain is running its own sitcom while i sit here as the clueless audience member. she’s like a fancy painting in a gallery that i can’t even touch. we barely exchange pleasantries, but every time i see her, my heart does a little dance like it thinks it’s auditioning for a talent show. she walks into a room and suddenly it’s like someone turned on the sunshine. people flock to her like moths to a flame and i’m just over here hoping for a chance to be one of those moths, even if it’s a long shot.

then comes the fun part: my invisible nemesis, aka my self-esteem, comes creeping in to remind me she’s taken. her happiness is locked up with someone else, and i’m left here feeling like a sad puppy at a pet adoption event. it’s wild how much this messes with my head. every encounter feels like a punchline to a joke i’m not even in on. yet somehow, hope clings to me like a stubborn piece of gum on a shoe. i catch myself whispering little prayers for clarity, while reality is over there laughing like a mean kid on the playground. in my moments of deep thought, where silence hangs between us like an awkward pause, i can almost feel the potential for growth, but mostly it just feels like i’m stuck in a sitcom that won’t get canceled.
