Hey there! 🌈 I'm a woman in my late twenties, and I've always felt this undeniable pull towards other women. It's like my heart does a little flip whenever I see someone who captures that special something. But (oh, the dreaded but...!!) I've never had the courage to say it out loud. You know why? Because my family is super conservative! We're talking Sunday churchgoers and everything must fit into their neat little boxes?! 😅 It's a bit of a dance trying to please everyone while also staying true to myself.

Recently, though, I had one of those enlightening moments that make you go 'Whoa'. A close friend of mine (let's call her Jane) came up to me and said she has similar feelings; she likes women too! It was like hearing myself reflected back at me. We had this long chat over coffee until the wee hours of the morning exchanging thoughts, fears, dreams... Like two souls whispering secrets only they knew were safe with each other.

This revelation got me thinking maybe it's time for me to finally embrace who I am. Could it be possible that there's a world out there waiting for people like us?? a world kinder than what I've imagined? Maybe in accepting myself more openly, I'll find corners of happiness deserving of exploration.

Of course, as dreamy as that sounds (and trust me I'm practically vibrating with the hope), reality check: life isn’t all rainbows and butterflies when you decide to step beyond conventional expectations!!! But isn't there magic in places least expected? Choose joy over fear they say!!! I believe Meryl Streep once said something like 'Take your broken heart and turn it into art.' Well okay then...I think it's high time for some art-making!

So here’s to unveiling our truths folks (albeit cautiously)! This post might just become another stepping stone; silent words against deafening silence... Let's put ourselves first occasionally regardless consequences...
