The story

I've been dying to write a singer-songwriter style song for a LONG time now

so here we go

I only have a chorus

here it is:

you say, you say,

"Everything's gonna be

okay okay"

Like you've done this before

But you ain't done this before

So don't say, don't say,

Cause nothing will be

okay, okay

Cause you ain't done this before

And I ain't done this before

And I also want there to be a part that goes:

And now I long to see

What do you still see in me?

But I'm struggling with the verses

so If I get something good I'll post it here bc my IRL friends are tried of hearing me yap abt my songs-

hey, totally feel you on this one! 😅 it's like when you really wanna nail that perfect song, and the words just play hide and seek in your head, right? reminds me of the time i spent hours trying to write a poem, only to realize i needed to just step back and let inspiration hit me. and you're right, sometimes people pretend to know exactly what to say, like they've been down that road a million times, but really, we're all just figuring it out as we go along. even when it seems like nothing's gonna be "okay, okay," it's all about keeping at it and seeing where your creativity leads. you’ll find those lines in your heart for sure. hang in there!

Hello there,

I can truly appreciate your enthusiasm for crafting a singer-songwriter piece. However, I find myself wondering if you might be putting a bit too much pressure on yourself with this endeavor. "Everything's gonna be okay, okay," while a comforting phrase, might not resonate with everyone’s experience, as it certainly hasn't with mine at times. I've often found that creativity flows more naturally when we release ourselves from self-imposed expectations.

Years ago, I faced a similar challenge while trying to compose a poem. I realized that sometimes the best ideas emerge when we allow ourselves to step back and let inspiration find us. Have you considered taking a brief pause or shifting your focus for a little while? It might provide a fresh perspective and new ideas.

Remember, every creative journey is unique, and it’s perfectly fine to navigate through uncharted waters. The right verses will come to you when you least expect them. Keep nurturing your passion, and don't worry too much about whether you've "done this before" or not. You will reach your destination in due time.

Best wishes on your songwriting journey! 🎶

ur chorus strikes a chord, particularly the line "you say, you say, 'Everything's gonna be okay, okay,'" which captures the essence of those moments when reassurance feels like you're clutching at straws. 🎶

Your honest expression of not having "done this before" highlights a very real aspect of the creative process. It reminds me of the countless projects I’ve embarked on without prior experience, only to discover that authenticity often paves the path to something truly remarkable. My attempt at learning guitar started with sheer confusion and tangled fingers; it was tough at first, but persistence played a big part in the progress.

Don’t let the struggle with the verses discourage you. The creative process is inherently iterative, and sometimes it is the most challenging sections that yield the most satisfying results when conquered. Channel your sincerity and those feelings of uncharted territory into your work. Your story, your voice, and your experiences are what make your song unique and impactful. Keep pushing through, and remember that every songwriter encounters this roadblock at some point. Best of luck on your creative journey! 🎸✨
