How to stay awake while studying?
The story
Alright, so I'm in the third week of cramming late into the night for my finals. I've tried everything and it feels like I'm slowly losing my mind. I thought sleeping all weekend would help, but nope, here I am barely able to keep my eyes open. Coffee is supposed to be a lifesaver, right? Wrong! The jitters just make things even worse and now I feel like I'm vibrating out of my chair half the time.
It's not like I haven't tried other things. Sitting on this hard stool is uncomfortable as hell but it's supposed to keep me awake. And standing up while trying not to drift off into daydream land is becoming a special kind of torture session. I'm desperate for something that works because caffeine clearly isn't an option if I want to avoid turning into a nervous wreck.
Some people can just drink coffee all night, buzzing away while their brains magically absorb info. Not me! If I could learn by osmosis or something, I'd be set. Every trick they say helps (I've tried them all!!) nothing seems reliable.
Is there some secret method that everyone knows about except me? It’d be great if someone could share something that doesn't involve drinking more coffee than water or suffering through another uncomfortable setup.
My study materials are starting to look like hieroglyphs and nothing is sticking in my brain anymore! It’s frustrating when you’re doing your best but still falling asleep on your desk.
