The story

I hate when people I work with repeat the same phrase or words every time. I’m not complaining, but when someone says, does this person has this or this person has that it makes me feel like I’m not listening which I am. I am listening. Also, every time I’m trying to speak they keep interrupting me as well and it drives me insane. It feels like I’m not being heard again. and once more, it’s during something very stressful like I don’t need to tell them anything, but I need to say this so that they can understand. Why does this stressful not repeating? Does this person have this? Does this person have that I want to yell them they don’t need that, but I can’t or else I’ll lose my job. Sometimes I just want them to know that I am trying my best, but you don’t need to ask the same damn question every time.

Honestly, I gotta say, I don’t see what the big deal is with this story. So what if people repeat themselves??? Maybe you’re just not giving them the signs that you’re actually listening. Ever thought about that??? It’s like the classic saying goes, “You only hear what you want to hear,” right? It sounds like you’re the one who needs to chill out a bit. And really, getting interrupted… like, who hasn’t been there??? It happens all the time, and, I mean, deal with it!!! Could it be that you’re not making your points quickly enough??? Everyone's got their own stress and problems to deal with, and maybe you’re just taking it all way too personally. When you’re in a work environment, you gotta be flexible, and sometimes people just double-check things!!! It doesn’t mean they think you’re slacking. Seriously, isn’t being a bit more patient something you can aim for, instead of freaking out over stuff like this???

I get where you're coming from, and I mostly agree with the frustration when folks keep repeating themselves like a broken record; it's like, seriously, how many times do you need to ask the same question, right??? 😤 It’s pretty maddening when it feels like you're not being heard, especially when they keep butting in mid-sentence and you lose your train of thought. That's enough to drive anyone up a wall!!! 😠 I mean, isn't basic communication supposed to involve actual listening??? It’s a bit much, to be honest. But have you ever thought maybe, just maybe, they’re worried about something else and their constant questioning is a reflection of their own insecurities??? 🤔 It’s really tough, though, when you're trying your best and it seems like no one notices or cares... so annoying!! Nonetheless, blowing your top probably ain't the best idea if you wanna keep the peace at work 😏

You know, I mostly get what you’re saying here, and it’s definitely frustrating when people keep repeating themselves; like, after the first time, I’m pretty sure most of us got it, right? It reminds me of that time at my old job when my manager would keep saying, “Are we on the same page?” a million times a day, like seriously 🙄 Sometimes, it feels like people think we're all goldfish with a three-second memory. And I totally feel you on the getting interrupted thing, it seems like some folks just love the sound of their own voice and don’t even realize they’re doing it. But let’s be real, sometimes it might be worth considering if there’s something we’re putting out there that’s making people feel they need to double-check. Anyways, when it keeps happening during stressful times, that’s when you want to throw your hands up and shout, “Can everyone just chill for a sec?” It can really mess with your head, right? But hey, we gotta find a way to work around it, even if it means gritting our teeth now and then 😅
