Am i bi or lesbian?
The story
so, i'm 21 and kinda at a crossroads here? i’m a girl and have been in a relationship with my amazing girlfriend for a while now. we vibe so well together. recently, she brought up the idea of having a fun night with her best friend who happens to be a guy. the thing is that she was super clear about what she meant: it wasn't just going out for drinks! 😊 yeah, that's right, like having us three bringing some extra spark to our... umm adventures?! can you see my predicament?!?!
anyway, i've never ever considered myself interested in guys but when she proposed the idea... didn't hate it; it felt intriguing!!! idek if I would call it curiosity or something deeper but part of me was interested. maybe that makes me bi or maybe it's just situational attraction?! who knows!!! i’ve read so much stuff online like Kinsey scale and labels preaching freedom and acceptance and all but they're only partly relatable?
i chatted briefly about this with one of my closest friends who identifies as pansexual herself; she's always been super supportive no matter what topics we dived into (totally love her for that). although when i tried explaining how his presence might add another layer entirely new and exciting dimension... she's convinced i'm just exploring latent bisexuality or something.
am i overthinking this or could it mean something real about myself? on one hand.. branching out seems thrilling yet daunting; anyone else experience similar conflicting feelings???? because this whole dimension is uncharted territory loaded with possibilities excitement nervous anticipation:)

wow!! interesting dilemma there lol have u thought about if ur curiousity will affect ur current relationship?
You bring up good points! Maybe think about long-term implications?
omg same situation happened w/ me talk later??
i totally get where you're coming from, this sounds like a lot to process! at 21, it seems pretty natural to be exploring and weighing different facets of who you are; it's cool that you're open enough to consider what you really want out of this. experimenting in relationships can bring a blend of excitement and a bit of anxiety for sure??? the biggest thing is being honest with yourself about your feelings and ensuring everyone involved feels comfortable. i once had a similar situation where new dynamics cropped up unexpectedly, it definitely helped me understand more about myself. there's no rush to label anything right away if it doesn't resonate with you yet 🤔 maybe just talk more openly with your partner and decide together what's best for both your comfort zones 😉
i totally get why you're feeling uncertain. thinking through new situations can really be complex! i've heard so many opinions about whether exploring makes someone fully identify as bi but honestly who's to say unless it's actually lived firsthand??? personally am still trying to figure out my own identities too.
Man, the crossroads you're at sounds intense! I mean, who wouldn't be intrigued by the idea of exploring something totally new and unexpected? But it's perfectly fine to feel conflicted. You're not alone in wondering about what your feelings might mean. When I was around your age, I had a similar moment and it took me some time to figure out what I truly wanted. Worth considering how you'd feel after trying this out, right??? It's cool that you have supportive friends to lean on during all this... Just take it slow and make sure you're comfortable with every step you decide to take!
it happened once at college lol
"Happened" huh? Got any advice based on that experience?
i feel you, it's pretty wild trying to figure this stuff out. when i was around your age, i found myself curious about things i didn’t see coming at all; the world kinda opens up in unexpected ways as we grow. like, maybe it means you're just more open or adventurous than you realized back then? exploring new dynamics can be electrifying but also confusing. one thing i'd say is try thinking about what truly matters most here, like what you honestly want for yourself and your relationship 🙃 sometimes dipping a toe into unfamiliar waters leads to discovering sides of ourselves we didn't know existed but leaning into it also holds risks so just weigh it carefully and see where your gut tells ya to go.
I find your story very relatable and wonder if society's pressure often influences such decisions. It leaves me pondering how genuine these identity constraints are for many others out there.
your situation really packs some tension and excitement all rolled into one, huh?! man, it sounds like you're diving headfirst into this whirlpool of emotions!!! but seriously 😅, don't overthink too much right away. remember that exploratory feelings can sometimes just be a phase or a one-time thing—like temporary butterflies. plus, just talking about this openly already shows how grown-up you are about addressing your thoughts and urges. i'm 22 and experienced something similar when i questioned my sexuality after a wild suggestion with my partner; turned out for me it was more about the thrill than genuine interest in changing what i identified as!!! maybe just take it step by step, ensuring your girlfriend’s on the same page while figuring out what feels genuinely right to you! keep an open mind and have fun exploring without any guilt? you're young and deserve to explore every crazy little nook of who you are✌️
hey... not to be critical, but isn't it like adding someone in the mix could complicate things more than just exploring a new facet of yourself? 😅 honestly, what if after all this exploration you find your feelings for your girlfriend change, y'know? personally, I had a friend who thought venturing into something similar was thrilling too until it wasn't and ended up way more complex. that idea of an enticing adventure could end with emotional turmoil if everyone isn't on the same page; how well do you trust this guy they're suggesting...? blurring lines can make reconciling emotions tough so maybe think about those aftermath vibes as well; don't mind me tho—just speaking from observation 👍
ya know maybe its nothing more then jus wanting to try things people gots lot pressures uvvah emotionally getting freaked out by society judgemints n awll bout labels gotta chill sometimes eh tho you're making ur life yo not thers worry abit latah calm!
wow, this sounds like a heck of a twist! ever consider what it might mean for the dynamic between you and your girlfriend long-term? delving into uncharted waters can shift things in unpredictable ways. how would you deal with any fallout if it doesn't go as intriguingly as planned??? 🤔 seems like exploring motivation behind curiosity could reveal more than just interest. communicate openly before jumping in!
sounds kinda exciting but consider every angle!
It's interesting how sometimes our experiences don't neatly fit into the existing labels; maybe this is just about expanding your horizons for now.
Dude, that's a wild situation you're in! 🤯 I get that this is a lot to process. It might be worth considering if your interest is more about the experience itself rather than what labels it may or may not bring you. Sometimes we're intrigued by things because they're new and different. Also, remember it's okay to change your mind at any point. You're not locked into anything here. I had a similar moment of curiosity once but realized quickly it wasn't for me! Just make sure you're doing what feels right for YOU while communicating openly with your girlfriend about what you're both comfortable with.
This sort of situation is not uncommon honestly. You might just need more time before labeling anything? If indulging creates friction down the line in relationships that spark could fizzle. Your personal insticts should guide rather than outside judgments.
"Outside judgments," exactly!! Dive deep within first!
Adding a guy into the mix can seem like an intriguing idea, but it might end up complicating things more than expected.
-u sure daz better way handling confusion maybe boring spendin tym equation gvs no results lol btwtake care mk wise choices;
man, that's definitely a tricky spot you're in! not gonna lie, it sounds like a big emotional trip but honestly, sometimes it's okay to be unsure and just vibe with the moment. maybe try approaching this as an adventure of self-discovery without getting too fixated on labels right away; see where your feelings genuinely lead you. as long as communication with your girlfriend is clear and continuous, you'll probably navigate whatever comes up fine!!! let those feelings flow naturally and don't pressure yourself; sometimes the best way to understand what's going on inside is to simply give things time while staying true to yourself 😊
yeah this sounds kind of familiar i believe it's cool wanting something different but also risky depends on what you want from your relationship or self-discovery journey hope treading carefully gives u insight while maintaining balance nd clarity
