Love language quality time
The story
Hey everyone, need to get something off my chest. Just moved in with my partner and it's been a ride for sure. I thought we'd be spending loads of time together, like just chilling on the couch or doing random stuff around the house...easy living kind of deal, y'know? But it's not really happening as much as I'd hoped. I work early mornings and they're more of a night owl, so our schedules are all over the place. We barely even have dinner together anymore, which is totally weird and kinda sad if you ask me?! Anyway, I'm missing those small moments where we'd just chat nonsense while watching some dumb show or go for spontaneous walks. And don't even get me started on what it feels like when we're both home but doing completely separate things...it's like we live together but apart at the same time?! 😒
It's bugging me 'cause spending that quality time was sorta how we connected most before living together. Without it now, I'm feeling a bit disconnected if I'm honest! Communication's not the issue (we talk plenty, mostly text throughout the day!!) but it's not quite cutting it somehow? There's just something about being in the same room having real-time convos that's different! I remember this one time last year when we spent a whole weekend binging that silly baking show...it was stupid fun! It's these tiny bits that always mattered to us. Now I'm starting to feel like ships passing in the night instead of partners under one roof... Ugh. Anyone else ever felt this way??
