A big part of IIWIARS is anonymity. Many people come here to vent, share very personal things, or simply speak freely because they know they can't be identified. Even on the admin side, we don't have information that tells us who someone really is behind a post.
Moving a conversation to Discord or another platform removes that layer of anonymity and can expose you to people whose identity or intentions you simply can't verify. That doesn't mean everyone has bad intentions, of course... but on a fully anonymous website, it's important to be careful.
Feel free to talk, connect, and support each other here, but please protect your identity and personal information. That's also part of what makes IIWIARS a place where people can speak openly and safely. 🙂
Sounds like you're really putting yourself out there, which is cool. Exploring things like cosplaying and cooking might help with that feeling of not getting anything done. Personally, I find hobbies can be a great way to meet people organically. Keep at it, especially if you love talking and finding others with similar interests; it's only gonna lead to more fun times for sure!

getting into cosplaying sounds like a lot of fun, particularly if you love anime and manga! it can be a creative outlet that'll occupy your time in the best way. plus, cooking and gaming already give you so many cool things to chat about with others. ever tried integrating cosplay themes into your recipes? could be a chaotic but totally worth-it venture 😂
