Yell at me
The story
I walk into my own apartment, and guess what? There’s a party. A freaking loud, messy party with strangers trashing everything like they own the place. My so-called friend decided to play host without even telling me, in MY space! Can you believe this nonsense? I step inside, and it’s like I walked into a frat house. There are beer spills on my rug, pizza boxes scattered everywhere, and I don’t even know half these people. Ever heard of asking for permission before throwing a rager? I felt like a stranger in my own home. I didn’t even have room to breathe.
Sure, I get that having fun is cool, but not at the expense of respect and boundaries. How hard is it to send a text or make a quick call before turning someone’s living space into chaos? It’s really not that complicated! You can’t just walk all over someone else’s comfort zone without consequences. It makes me question if being nice is worth it, because some people just take advantage of your kindness to serve their own purposes. I was left standing there, overwhelmed and frustrated, feeling like I had to reclaim my space from a bunch of freeloaders who thought they could just crash my life.
After that night, I had to deal with the aftermath. I spent hours cleaning up the mess, scrubbing the beer stains out of my rug and tossing out half-eaten pizza. My friend texted the next day, apologizing, but it felt empty. I mean, how do you even bounce back from something like that? I couldn’t shake the feeling of betrayal. I had trusted someone who clearly didn’t value my space or my comfort. Now, I’m left wondering if I should just keep my door locked in the future. It’s exhausting to think that I have to protect my home from people I thought were friends. What do y’all think?
