Rant from my mental breakdown yesterday.
The story
The truest I've ever been with myself. I like to write to cope with my issues, and yesterday I broke down after realizing I don't really have anybody to be real with, because I've never been real.
For your wellbeing, just know I'm currently seeking professional counseling or therapy to try and find support. This is just the ramblings of yesterday's me who was hurting, because being real and reaching out hurts more than you think.
My ramblings start here:
I'm in my bad, crying. I don't even know why, but I can't stop. I contacted a mental health support line to try to reach out, instead I got referred to therapy that I can't afford with a doctor who sees 100 patients in worse shape than me and if I saw him and he saw me I fear he wouldn't look twice. It fucking hurts, knowing that the only people you can count on are hollow husks. I can't talk to them about this because if I ever did they'd never look at me the same again. I spent a whole hour just deciding if it was a good idea to reach out, and when I did I got brushed off and thrown on someone else's plate. I don't even feel like a person, just a number. I wish I could just fucking cry, all day, and not have to be around anyone, and not feel judged, and not wake up for a whole day and maybe that'd fix my problems. But it won't. It won't, and it sucks and I've never felt worse than when I confronted that feeling where everything feels shit and trying to reach out makes you feel worse. I just want to find somebody whose shoulder I can cry on for 100 hours and not have to worry about how they'll look at me later, and maybe it'd all be back to normal in the morning. I'm not ready to leave everything but I can't carry everything with me and I can't ask someone else to help me carry it, so I just get crushed under the weight of my own desicions. I get the bad hand in the game rigged against me, so should I just not even play? It feels stupid to even try when I have no fallback.

Man, it really sucks feeling like you're shouting into a void hoping someone hears you.
hey i get that you're having a tough time but remember that therapy works if you stick with it. even if it's discouraging now.
Sounds like you're in the "game over" mode of life, where pressing reset isn't an option and everyone else has a hacked controller with infinite lives.
I understand your struggle. I remember the first time I reached out for help and instead of feeling supported, I felt more isolated than ever. It seemed like no one really heard me. But when I finally found the right counselor, things started to improve slowly. Keep fighting for what you need.
just like evryoneelse ugh
Wow, that really hits deep. It sucks to feel like you're just a number in the system or that you can't be real with anyone without fearing how they'll react after. Reaching out and getting brushed off is the worst; it can feel like nobody really cares, doesn't it??? But remember, it's brave of you to even try reaching out in the first place! It's tough now, but maybe there's a light at the end of this tunnel; sometimes it's about finding that one person who gets it and won't judge, even if it's not where you first look. Your feelings are valid and you're doing your best by seeking therapy... Don't lose hope; something's gotta give eventually!
i hear you! it's so hard to open up when you're not used to it...but once you do find that person who understands, it's worth it. at the same time, i'm worried that putting everything onto one person can be overwhelming for them too so we gotta balance it.
it's tough when all you want is a space to be yourself and it feels like there's no one there to hold that space with you 😔. reaching out takes courage, especially when the fear of judgment looms so large and therapy feeling inaccessible is just salt in the wound. maybe it's worth trying some online support groups or forums where people are more understanding, could help feel less alone. every step counts, even if it doesn’t feel like progress right now.
sometimes it feels like you're stuck in a one-sided mirror, seeing everyone but feeling invisible yourself.
it's rough when you're trying to open up and feel shut down. you're doing the right thing reaching out even if it doesn't seem like it's working now. connecting with people can be tough, especially when it feels like everyone's just going through the motions; but don't let that make you think your feelings aren't valid or important. sometimes it helps to take small steps, finding someone who really listens can take time but you've already started on that path. keep pushing forward, and know there are others who get it too.
Dude, it’s beyond messed up how reaching out can feel like hitting a freaking brick wall sometimes.
oh man i totally relate, i've been there too where reaching out just feels useless but trust sometimes persistence helps!
It's concerning that you're equating your worth with how others might perceive you. You mention feeling like just a number, which is unfortunately a sentiment many people share when dealing with overstretched services; this can be disheartening, especially when the system feels more like an assembly line than a support network. However, labeling others as "hollow husks" seems a bit harsh without understanding their circumstances too. Therapists may seem detached because of their workload, but remember they're trained to help even if it doesn't feel personal at first; judging the entire experience based on initial setbacks might cloud potential progress. Maybe exploring community groups or online forums for peer support could provide some solace? Alongside therapy, they might offer a sense of connection and validation that feels so elusive right now.
I've had moments like this too...trying to reach out and feeling dismissed is such a blow to the heart. Keep in mind though, sometimes you have to go through several 'misses' before finding the right fit in therapy or support groups. Hang in there.
yo, i feel you though. reaching out is tough, especially when it feels like they're just checkin' boxes. i've been in that spot where talking seems harder than just bottling it up. but man, don't give up on finding that connection. sometimes it's the unexpected person or moment that can surprise you and be there for real. hang in there 💪
hmm maybe jus keep trying diff therapist idk ig its scarey tho
felt this way soo many times wanting someone 2 b there n they werent
me 2 cried all day no point tho
This sounds like an incredibly frustrating experience but maybe part of what's needed here is realizing therapy doesn't change things overnight... It takes small steps over time and sometimes those steps are hard because they make us face our deepest fears. This could be your turning point if seen through.
It’s so gut-wrenching to feel like you're fighting this alone, especially when you muster up the courage to reach out and then just hit a wall. This system sometimes just sucks for making us feel like invisible cogs in a massive wheel. You're incredibly strong for acknowledging these feelings and even stronger for attempting to do something about them. Don’t let the initial setbacks dictate your worth or path, because who you are goes beyond any momentary rejection. It might take time and feels exhausting right now, but finding even one person who values authenticity can turn things around... Keep reaching until something clicks; it could make all the difference.
Yes! I've felt crushed by my problems and didn't want to burden others with them either. Found relief when I found peers who shared similar experiences: it wasn't about fixing each other but being understanding.
Understand the frustration with reaching professional help only getting brushed aside: it's like yelling into a void hoping something sticks. Yet finding long-term support is essential even if initial attempts feel lacking… you'll find someone who cares eventually but this requires patience.
Damn, it's rough when it feels like you're just shouting into the void and nobody's listening; therapy being so inaccessible is a kick in the teeth, but have you thought about journaling or online communities where people vent too?
Dude, I feel you. It really sucks when you're trying to reach out and it feels like nobody gives a shit. Like, what is support even if nobody's actually there for you? Sometimes the hardest part is realizing the people around just aren't cut out for this stuff, and man, that's brutal. Maybe finding one person who truly gets it??could change everything. Just keep holding on 'cause collapsing helps absolutely no one; see where things take you!
