Seeking some life advice (?)

The story

I’m currently a 32 yo woman in a stable relationship. My biggest wish would be starting a family with my long time boyfriend but we both agreed we should do that after having a bigger house of our own. Everyone around me is managing to do that (some have inherited their house from parents or relatives, others have already managed to buy one) and start a family of their own. We are currently paying rent for a small apartment and working our asses off to put away some money but house prices for a decent place (with some room for a future kid) still seem to be out of our range. I kinda feel hopeless at this point. Will I ever be able to achieve my dreams? It seems impossible to me as of now, I really don’t know what to do and I feel like my life is meaningless. I feel like I am late at life and that when we’ll be able to realize our project it will be to late for me to have a child.

seems like you're caught in the property ladder dilemma!!! but honestly "buying a house" isn't the only way to start a family… plenty manage without jumping into homeownership right away..... the real estate market's volatility is a challenge for sure and no one can predict housing trends precisely... maybe consider exploring alternatives like co-housing or long-term leasing instead???? life's unpredictability means dreams might have to be postponed or adjusted sometimes… "patience is bitter but its fruit is sweet" applies here keep trying but also stay flexible

sounds like you're aiming for the quintessential homeownership dream but it's important to remember that real estate dynamics can be unpredictable 🏠 my partner and i once thought owning a home was the only way forward until we discovered how fulfilling renting could actually be; it's all about perspective right now prioritizing savings or considering investments like equity or mutual funds might bring more benefits with time keep faith in your journey there are myriad ways to achieve family goals without the immediate procurement of a property so perhaps embracing the current space you have while planning meticulously can yield unexpected joy and opportunities while you work towards your goal 📈

Hi! I get what you’re saying but where we live it’s a little bit different. Rent prices have skyrocketed since we got here (we pay a decent amount like I said for a house that’s big enough for no more than two people) so it’s not the best move to search for a bigger house to rent…also they usually don’t give houses to rent to people with children and animals (and we have a cat) and we’re not willing to lose our kitty for a house :( that’s why buying seems like the only option

totally get where you're coming from. navigating the real estate market feels like an impossible endeavor sometimes. my partner and I struggled with feeling financially overwhelmed too, especially with rising property valuations. it's tough watching others secure homes while you're stuck paying rent. honestly, it's disheartening. there's also the biological clock pressure, which is daunting. it's hard not to doubt if things will align for you. however, i think pursuing more financial advice or perhaps looking into market trends might shed some light on feasible options🤔. sometimes, though, it all feels like an uphill battle, doesn't it?

honestly, i hear you; owning property in this economy feels like a pipe dream, especially with skyrocketing prices. it's like they say, "the struggle is real." navigating the housing market sometimes just feels like hitting a brick wall, doesn't it??? sure, it's frustrating watching everyone else get their dream homes handed to them while you're slogging through rent payments, but don't get too down about it. it's important to remember that equity and investment options can change your situation over time; keep hustling and stay optimistic!!! as they say, "every cloud has a silver lining." just stay patient, and keep your eyes open for opportunities because they may come when you least expect them.

wow, totally get what you're saying, the whole home buying thing these days feels like a real uphill battle, doesn't it; it's like the quote says, "the grass is always greener on the other side," and yeah, some folks seem to have it easier with houses and all. sometimes, it feels like you're just throwing money away renting, but hey, don't lose all hope. saving and cutting back where you can — it's not glamorous, but every little bit helps. it's important to remember that timing's different for everyone, and just because others are ahead doesn't mean you're behind. keep hustling and things might just fall into place.

Thanks! We’re just to trying to do our best, working hard and putting away some money, it just seems like it’s never enough.
