Silent panic attack

The story

so, i was just at this packed-out event recently and let me tell you, it was not fun. i felt like my heart was trying to beat its way out of my chest and breathing? forget about it. all the while i had to plaster on this stupid smile so that my friends wouldn’t notice and start freaking out themselves. honestly, what a joke.

you ever try to keep your breathing steady while everyone else is laughing and having a good time? it’s like juggling knives while tap dancing! the music thumping in the background felt like it was pulsing through my veins, turning everything up a notch or twenty. at one point i thought: wow, am i going to pass out right here?

and you'd think by now i'd have some kind of handle on this stuff, right? but no! every time feels like the first time all over again! it's absurdly frustrating. yet somehow i'm still managing to keep up appearances because god forbid anyone sense i'm not totally fine.

it's wild when you consider just how loud a silent panic attack actually can be. it's an entire symphony of chaos raging inside your head while you're expected to nod politely and engage in pointless small talk.

maybe there's some upside here though... perhaps next time i'll manage to slip away unnoticed for five minutes of sanity. who knows? staying hopeful is key, even if it feels ridiculous sometimes.

I wonder about the balance between maintaining privacy and seeking support from friends. It's tough deciding who to trust with our vulnerabilities but sometimes opening up might lead to better understanding or relief.
