stop masturbating
The story
sitting here thinking about my life lately, I’ve come to realize that this habit of mine has snuck into my daily routine. what started as something I thought was harmless has turned into a time sink that keeps me from doing other things I care about. I’ve missed out on social gatherings and let responsibilities slip through the cracks. there was even a whole weekend I was supposed to hang out with friends, but instead I chose to stay home, trapped in this cycle. it shocked me how easily it became my default.
breaking free from this feels like a bigger challenge than I expected. I have to face the fact that this habit is woven into my everyday life. I catch myself lost in thought, trying to come up with ways to take back control, but each moment that passes makes it feel even harder. afternoons fade into evenings while I sit there, stuck in my head, thinking of how to balance personal pleasure with actually living a full life. it’s tough when what feels comforting turns into something that weighs me down.
maybe I need to shake things up a bit. I think about getting more involved in tasks that need my attention or picking up some hobbies I used to love. it sounds good in theory, but making those changes takes a lot of willpower, and sometimes I just don’t have it. instant gratification is so much easier than waiting for something better or finding fulfillment in other activities. I know I have to be kind to myself during this transition. I have to accept that there will be setbacks but keep pushing through anyway. facing these challenges takes courage and patience. even small progress can spark a little hope for a better quality of life down the road.
