Why do i think so much?
The story
ever find yourself replaying the same conversation in your head over and over? like, why does this happen? last night i couldn't sleep because of something a coworker casually said. it was just a simple comment but man did it stick with me. ive been thinking, is this normal or do i just overthink every little thing?
i mean, everyone says you should let things go right? but it's not that easy for me. sometimes i feel like i'm analyzing every scenario, second-guessing decisions that don't even matter much in the grand scheme of things. people always say 'just relax' and 'don't worry about it,' but how exactly do i stop my brain from spiraling at midnight?
you ever seen those memes that are like, "my plans vs reality"? yeah, that's me all the time. i'll plan out a cool way to handle a situation then wham! Reality smacks me in the face with a completely different outcome. it's frustrating because it feels like my mind doesn't have an off button;
i've tried keeping myself busy, hoping it'll distract me from overthinking stuff. went for a jog yesterday listening to some music to clear my head but no luck; one small innocent remark has taken root in my mind and refuses to leave 😅. i'm pretty sure i'm not alone in this though...right?
idk maybe writing helps a bit cause putting this down makes it seem less like chaos and more organized confusion if that makes sense. there's gotta be people out there who experience the same thing (or am i going nuts?). hopefully someone got tips cause caffeine isn't cutting it anymore!
