how does it truely feel to be loved?
The story
how does it feel to be loved? not by family or friends but in a genuine relationship way. i’ve recently graduated high school and am moving to college soon yet looking back i don’t know if i’ve actually really liked much less loved any of the guys i’ve dated or talked to. it’s not that they were terrible people (though some weren’t exactly good people either) but i’ve never felt genuine connection nor affection. lately this summer i’ve been pretty lonely; the two friends i do have have already gone to school and im just left alone in this town with my thoughts. i know there are ways to experience love other ways but i just want a genuine connection and feel affection. i have a pretty shitty relationship with my parents and rest of the family and a pretty shitty senior year so i really don’t know. do you know when you meet them? is there a specific moment? i really just want someone to talk to.

y'know, it's tough to pinpoint exactly what that genuine connection feels like; love ain't a science experiment with clear-cut answers. people romanticize it as some "bolt out of the blue," but sometimes it's just... being at ease with someone, wanting to include them in your mundane moments. if you've had a screwed up senior year and rocky family relationships, maybe it makes sense you're craving something authentic and real. don't second-guess yourself too much; college does open up new avenues for connections and you might find more compatible people there. trust the process but remember that personal growth happens first before these things fall into place.
