The story

so today I'm sitting in this bustling little café, trying to enjoy my overpriced latte and a book when something catches my attention. This person right next to me starts yakking loudly on their phone, and it's like they're broadcasting their whole life story to everyone within earshot. I mean really? It's not just mundane stuff either; it's the full-blown drama of their recent breakup. Seriously, they're practically reading out a script of their emotional train wreck: 'And then he said that... and I told him they were wrong.' You can tell some folks around are pretending not to eavesdrop but come on, everyone's totally tuned into that juicy saga now.

and you know, it kind of hits me: whatever happened to keeping it private? Not to sound all uptight or anything but isn't it just plain courtesy to shield the dirty laundry from innocent bystanders? Maybe I'm old school but I can't help feeling uneasy with this no-filter culture we have now. Everything's an open book and sometimes that's harsh, spilling your life into every crevice of public space. Like, remember those days when we talked about personal stuff at home or anywhere people weren't forced to listen in? Good times man.

everyone seems so chill about it too, like we joined this unintentional reality show where we're all unwilling audience members. Shocker right? No one even bats an eye anymore as if we've gotten used to living press conference lives 24/7. Is it insecurity looking for validation or just plain lack of respect for someone's ears? Who knows except damn... maybe turn down the volume a notch for us peace-craving souls.
