The story

I was chosen to lead the office's annual project this year, but I can't shake the feeling that I am failing miserably. It's supposed to be an honor and an opportunity for growth, but every team meeting feels like a personal attack. My suggestions get shot down fast, and it's like whatever I do isn't good enough. Even when I feel confident about something, another opinion comes in and everything changes. It feels like whatever input I give just becomes ammunition for criticism.

I keep telling myself it's part of learning, needing to adapt on my feet with the team's synergy shifting constantly, but honestly? It's hard to stay motivated when all you hear is why your ideas won't work. I've always known that oppositions are part of any project and it shouldn't derail me emotionally this much... but here we are. A small task becomes a mountain because every step seems like misstep after misstep. I've even started second-guessing myself on things I was sure about. It's got me questioning how I'm ever going to manage it all if nothing seems right and if every team member sees problems with my perspective.
