i feel like i'm going crazy
The story
I started a new job, and it felt like the perfect opportunity I've been waiting for. But now, I'm questioning everything. The pressure to perform is immense. I constantly receive cryptic feedback from my boss, and it's driving me up the wall! It's like they're speaking in riddles!!! The team expects high deliverables but provides little guidance on how to achieve them; I feel lost yet expected to navigate through this labyrinth of expectations without a map.
My mind keeps spiraling into doubts as if I'm missing some crucial detail that everyone else understands. On paper, everything suggests I'm doing well; I've met deadlines, received acknowledgment emails, compliments even! But inside, there's this incessant nagging feeling that I'm about to slip up any minute! It feels like walking on eggshells with no shoes...
I've always prided myself on being resilient and adaptable! Yet here I am doubting every decision I make... This isn't normal for me!!!! I've tried talking to colleagues, hinting at my struggles subtly during lunch breaks or team meetings. They nod sympathetically but offer ambiguous advice themselves!
Is it just part of the company's culture? Do people thrive in this environment of vagueness??? Everything seems to be going fine when you look at it objectively... Yet subjectively?, it's chaos here!!! I can't help but think back on previous positions where goals were clear-cut and feedback was straightforward. Those days seem so distant compared to now...
Despite these worries!, there's still hope that I'll acclimate eventually... Maybe it's a matter of time before something clicks... Or maybe I'll figure out how to decipher the cryptic signals better than ever before........ Who knows?
