Why now
The story
Today is Sun, why the heck did that damn woman ask me NOW? She has 5 other days on the week to ask. She even texted. I can understand emails. Why TEXT? She asked for access to download the transcript of the meeting that SHE recorded. If she wants to work on that thing now, that's her own damn business.
I can ignore her, but this time I am mad.
I'm first time mom, my kid is sick, she is much much more difficult than usual.

I totally get where you're coming from, I had a boss like that once and it drove me bonkers 😠 it's like they don't even think about personal time! the nerve of her to intrude on a Sunday no less when you're trying to take care of your kid who's under the weather is beyond comprehension!!! I mean come on, she could have planned better during the week you ain't a robot working 24/7 and who in their right mind thinks it's okay to text on a weekend for work stuff?? emails are one thing but texting is just plain invasive… I remember when my little one was sick it felt like I was juggling a circus and then to have a work message pop up in the middle of all that chaos is just rage-inducing :(
my advice is to stand your ground because everyone deserves their downtime we ain't born to grind 24/7, you ain't alone 👊 keep doing your thing and let her deal with her own mess!
i get it might be frustrating, but hey, sometimes work just pops up when it's least expected. ever heard "life doesn't always go as planned"? that's work-life balance for ya. sure, a text on a sunday isn't ideal, but maybe she really needed it done. it's not great timing, but it could show she's relying on your expertise. and remember, everyone has their off days; who knows what happened on her end? try to see this as a small hiccup and not the end of the world. keep in mind that flexibility can sometimes lead to unexpected opportunities. 🙂
