so, i've been sitting here trying to piece together everything that happened with my ex. we had this on-again, off-again thing where it felt like they had one foot in and one foot out the whole time. they'd pull me in when things were good, then suddenly vanish like a ghost when i least expected it. it's been a wild ride, let me tell you.

i mean, sure, there were moments of genuine connection where we laughed our heads off at stupid jokes or just chilled watching movies all day. those times made me think 'hey, maybe this could actually work.' but bam! just as i started believing in us again... boom! another disappearing act. really throws you off balance.

and now i'm left sitting here wondering: do fearful avoidants ever come back? is there any hope of them reaching out again or am i just fooling myself? from what i read online (yeah i know... never trust the internet completely), some people say they eventually circle back once they've done their introspection or whatever. honestly though, feels like i'm waiting for snow in summer.

not gonna lie, it's draining thinking about whether they'll pop up again or if we're done for good. sometimes i even dream about getting a random text from them saying 'miss you' but then reality hits hard when there's no notification blaring on my phone screen 📱. curious if anyone else had this kind of rollercoaster with someone who keeps you guessing all the time.
