The story

so, i messed up pretty bad. imagine spilling the beans about your friend's biggest secret when they weren't even in the room. yeah, that's me right now 🙄. during a chill hangout with our mutual friends, something slipped out that really shouldn't have. not my proudest moment, trust me on that. word got around faster than I thought and now my friend is so hurt that they're giving me the silent treatment for weeks.

it's like everything was all good before this mess and now it's total radio silence from them. i keep replaying that convo in my head thinking of how it went downhill so fast. somehow 'just flowin' with everyone turned into spewin' someone else's private stuff 🤦🏼‍♂️. i'm kicking myself over it but i know just feeling bad ain't gonna fix things.

i've been pondering on going to them directly but i don't wanna come off as if i'm ignoring what happened or making it worse y'know? then again how long should i wait before reaching out? would a text even do it or is handing them an apology letter more personal? getting real here: sometimes dealing face-to-face feels too heavy but skimming over vibes through a screen could make things seem less sincere.

one thing’s for sure: owning up to what's done and offering a genuine sorry seems like step number one classic stuff they mentioned in psychology articles way back in school days - who knew those would be useful irl situations! also looking ahead can help... gotta remind myself repairing bonds takes time but needs doing right else you're back at square one with crickets in response from someone who mattered once.

you ever said something and instantly regretted knowing you'll hear nothing till you fix what broke 🥴? sounds silly maybe laying low isn't smart this time round only cuz losing them for stupid words hurts way beyond ego poker moments picked mid-laughs overboard talking.
