I want to switch denominations

I have been struggling deeply in my Christan faith recently, and I've tried everything from reading the Bible to frequently going to church, etc.

My dad is Pentecostal and my mom is Baptist. I want to tell them that I don't feel like I belong in these, and that I want to try out some Catholic faith to see if I can regain my love for Christ again. But, they don't feel comfortable about Catholics and they won't let me. What do I do? God doesn't answer my prayers. He hasn't for years...
