The story

My supervisor has grown accustomed of me to write legal documents for the company when it is not my expertise (I am not a paralegal!). It just takes effort and time to research how to write legal documents and instead of me doing my actual work, I just submit these drafted documents to the lawyer and the lawyer checks my work.

seems like a tricky situation... but, ever heard "flexibility is key in the workplace"??? 🤔 maybe they're seeing potential in you to multi-task and grow?! even if it’s not your primary role... "growth comes from discomfort" they say... but i get it, doing someone else's assigned work can be draining and unfair!!! there's value in staying in your lane, but who knows? maybe it's a chance to polish some new skills... just hope the lawyer's feedback helps you... still sucks that it's cutting into your real tasks!!!!! 🤷‍♂️

nice! do not hesitate to use AI to help you on taht kind of tasks, they don't know everything (and are sometimes outdated...) but you could win some time next time!

yes I did get help from AI and other online templates to get the task going thanks

I totally get where you're coming from but sometimes you've gotta roll with the punches... It's like they say no pain no gain!

Maybe this is a chance to add another feather to your cap 🤔 I mean it's not the ideal situation but a little hustle never hurt anyone 🤷‍♂️

Back when I was in marketing, my boss had me doing finance tasks talk about being out of my depth... Though I wasn't thrilled about it: I'm not gonna lie, it did help me learn a thing or two!

Hang in there who knows it might just pay off in unexpected ways 🙂

i get your frustration, but isn't it good to learn new stuff? 🤔 they say, "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger." the legal world might not be your jam, but drafting documents can be a valuable skill. when i was in marketing, had to dive into some finance work. kinda felt lost but turned out to be a win. sure, it's a hassle now, but might just open doors later. give it a shot before throwing in the towel!

At least your boss doesn't make you take responsibility and the document goes to a lawyer! That's the most important thing 😅 but yeah, I also think like the other persons here: could be an opportunity to learn new stuff...
