The story

ok, i gotta vent about something that's been bugging me for a while. my mom has been getting on my case for the tiniest things these days, and it's starting to really stress me out. like, the other day, i left a spoon on the kitchen counter instead of putting it in the sink. no big deal, right? wrong! she totally flipped out on me and acted like i'd just committed some huge crime or something. i'm talking full-on yelling over a spoon! sometimes it's like I'm walking on eggshells around her; not knowing what's gonna set her off next.

it's not just about the spoon either. there's more stuff piling up too. last week, i forgot to turn off a light in the hallway before i went to bed. again, not that serious in my opinion, but she made it into this big issue and gave me this long lecture about being responsible or whatever. man, it feels almost like i'm living in some kind of weird reality show where every tiny mistake is blown way out of proportion 😬 maybe she's stressed about something else and i'm just an easy target for letting off steam.

i guess what's bothering me most is that it feels like these incidents are happening more often lately. like there's always something she's finding fault with. yesterday she got upset because there were water spots on a glass i'd washed - saying i didn't rinse it properly even though i thought i did fine with that; it's little things piling up all over and making home feel less relaxing than it should be you know?

don't get me wrong, i love my mom and everything, but dang! all this nitpicking is exhausting mentally and even physically when you're constantly tense wondering what'll cause the next blow-up... anyone else dealing with parents who are suddenly super critical of every tiny thing? does anyone have tips on how to cope or talk through this without causing more drama at home? hoping things will chill out soon.
