What’s your advice?
The story
Ok we all should be familiar with ai, and a lot of people have mixed feelings about it… so my thing is I won’t to start a YouTube channel and involves some type of voice commentary. You could say what my YouTube channel is creative. So I need a voice to help me to do those vids, usually it’s your voice you use. But I have reason why I can’t, like (apparently from my sis my voice is very recognisable😭) and I don’t want any family to see it, and you know you really have to get the right tone in vids. So I was thinking of using an ai voice for the vids ( trying to find the most ethical way) but with how anti ai the creative community is…. which I understand bc of the police’s abd some other stuff but I’m admitting ai can help (atleast maybe in this situation?) so I don’t really know to be honest

Honestly, using an AI voice could be a smart move considering your situation, as long as you can find one that suits the vibe you're aiming for (and one which looks "human" so people don't complain!!). Just try to make sure it doesn't take away from the authenticity or originality of your work because that's what makes a channel unique and engaging. Maybe start experimenting with different options and see how they feel to you? it's all about finding what fits best for you and your audience.
i see where you're coming from, but isn't using ai voices kinda tricky??? it's like walking on eggshells in the creative scene rn. have you thought about collaborating with a voice actor instead?? might keep the authenticity while still protecting your identity. plus, working with someone else can bring fresh ideas to your channel! if you really want to use AI, maybe highlight it as a unique feature of the channel or something... could add a cool spin on things. just don’t know how much viewers will buy into it though.
